Rees Shad has been a professional composer and lyricist for close to half a century.  He has written over 500 copyrighted songs for electronica, rock, jazz, country, and Americana projects as well as music and songs for theater and film.  He has written book and music for operettas and musicals.  He has penned short stories, and novellas.

 

He has also written a good deal outside of the world of musical performance.  He has crafted by-laws and mission statements for non-profits, developed and overseen grants for academic, entrepreneurial, and artistic projects. In addition, he has worked up business plans for a number of small corporations.  

 

With wide ranging experience in the arts, academia, and the business world as well as graduate degrees from three different Universities in communication and design, usability and technology driven communication, as well as academic policy Shad brings a polymath’s vision and a wordsmith’s craft to any project.
